Languages

At Waverton Primary, our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for learning languages and to develop pupils’ understanding of the wider world. Through the teaching of French, we aim to foster positive attitudes towards language learning, develop confidence in communication and lay strong foundations for future language study.

Our MFL curriculum is ambitious, coherent and progressive.

It equips pupils with the knowledge, skills and vocabulary needed to communicate in French and understand different cultures. We aim to ensure that all pupils develop a strong sense of curiosity, resilience and enjoyment when learning a foreign language.
