Autumn Term:

This term we will be learning:

English	Text The Night Pirates ● Combine words to make sentences ● Begin to use full stops and capitals ● Leave spaces between words ● Use capital letters for the names of people and the personal pronoun I
Maths	Power Maths- Numbers to 10, Part Whole model to 10, Addition within 10.
Science	Humans: Children identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body and say which part of the body is associated with each sense.
Computing	Algorithms and Programs- create instructions to move the Bebot.
History/ Geography	Geography- is a pirate an explorer? Maps and direction Location Knowledge- use simple compass directions, locational language, to describe the location of features and routes on a map. Construct simple maps with a key.
Art/DT	Art Maggi Hambling - Painting Communicate something about themselves in their painting. Create moods in paintings. Use thick and thin brushes appropriately. Paint a picture of something they can see. Name and use primary and secondary colours.

PE	Dance – Animals Fundamental movement skills
PSHE	Relationships – being part of a team. What makes a good team?
RE	What do Christians think about how the world was made and how should we look after it? Why is Christmas celebrated by Christians?
