Hello Y3 and welcome back to you all!

We are really happy to be back in school after these strange times and are looking forward to our year ahead which we hope will be filled with learning, fun and good times.  Below you will see a timetable of our typical week and attached is the news letter for September which explains how things in Y3 will work. We have really enjoyed meeting you all during our first weeks back and are excited for the coming term.  If we all remember to follow The Waverton Way - Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Respectful, we will have an amazing year together!

Make a large drawing (A3 at least) of your favourite circus act to add to our class display. (eg a clown, trapeze artist, performing elephant, acrobat, etc)

Decorate any way you choose, eg. paint, felt tips, pastels, collage, etc

Practise your word processing skills by typing a list of  10 circus acts and changing each's font type, size and colour using the correct buttons on the toolbar in 'Word'.

Literacy - The Magic Box poem

1)Fill in the thought bubbles to show your opinions on the poem (see attached sheet)

2)Look carefully at the poem and identify the adjectives.  Highlight/circle them on the poem (use sheet from yesterday).

3)Add some amazing adjectives to describe the following nouns. Can you make them alliterative ?Write them in your literacy book.

eg, a petrified, purple parrot

a tiger, a wolf, a princess, a monster, a kitten, a puppy, snake, a dragon, a river, a cave.
