smileyWelcome to our Year 1 Home Learning Pageheart

Tuesday 21st July

Hi Everyone

Hope you had a lovely weekend! It's the summer holidays and it looks as though the sun has come back yippee! smiley  Thank you so much for all your lovely cards and gifts - Miss Davies has lots of chocolates to eat, yum yum!  I hope you liked your pirate goody bag.

I am so proud of you all this year - you have all been so brave, positive and resilient coping with the strangest time.  Remember you are all brilliant and I hope you have a fab summer holiday and come back ready to show Miss Tandy how talented you all are!

Lots of love

Miss Davies xheartsmileyheart

Please continue to enjoy reading books and share favourite stories at home.  Click on Oxford Owl link below

Usually by the end of Year 1 the majority of children should be reading green, orange and turquoise books - Phase 5/6 Phonics.  If your child is still working on Phase 3/4 phonics - Yellow level books and if they are starting to become more confident at Phase 5 - Blue books.

If you have run out of books please follow the following link https://collins.co.uk/pages/big-cat-ebooks

Follow the link and it will give you a username and password for free acces to books and resources.

Cheshire West and Chester are running the Summer reading challenge again - a good way to keep your child excited about reading over the Summer holidays.  You can sign up on https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
