We can't wait to see what this year brings for Eco-schools!
A target for our Eco-members is to communicate effectively with the rest of the school. We are going to produce a newsletter to distrubute around the school. Our eco-warriors will be taking ideas from the rest of the class, so if you have any ideas, let your eco-warrior know!
We will be reapplying for our Green flag again this year, so watch this space!
We have been up to a great deal in Eco-Schools so far this year!
This year we have created an Eco-garden for our school to enjoy. With the help from Chester Zoo, we have made toad abodes, welly planters and even built our own mini pond! We have a pet toad who lives in our pond, how lucky are we?! Ask an Eco-member to have a look at oru Eco-garden!
We have moved and rebuilt our bug hotel, with the help of Mr Parkinson and Mr Walley. We can't wait to find out how many bugs live inside!
We had two visits from Anthony who worked with Keep Britain to tell us about composting. We have learnt lots about food waste, and we look forward to working on our own compost and our vegetable garden
Watch this space, our Eco-Warriors are in the process of creating a newsletter to keep everyone up to date on our activities!
Some of our Eco-Warriors are designing butterflies to put in our butterfly garden. We hope to encourage more wildlife into our garden and to encourage the rest of the school to enjoy our gardens.
Please tell your Eco-Warriors about any fantastic ideas you have for our school and environment!
